Basil, dill, tomatoes … and olives and anchovies! 26 April 2006
Oh, and arugula! We concocted this up from fresh herbs from the garden. A great accompaniment to any plain-ish meat, fish or chicken dish to clean the palate. Takes a few minutes! Try it and tell me what you think….
You need:
arugula, a handful
dill, several sprigs
basil leaves, about a handful
tomatoes, 5-6 pieces roughly diced
black olives, 5-6 pieces (get the unpitted kind and depit yourself - much more flavorful!)
anchovies, about 5-7 pieces
garlic, one clove
olive oil, a generous drizzle
lemon, a generous drizzle, half a lemon will do
black pepper
You just:
Roughly chop your anchovies with the garlic clove and put in serving container. Roughly chop all other ingredients (arugula, basil, dill, tomatoes, black olives) and toss in. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon. Add some freshly ground black pepper. Toss quickly and serve!

Yumyum!
Sorry long time no message ako, been super busy at work and with Sam (my baby), kagagaling lang namin sa hospital actually, haay…. Anyways, nice to know you also like Italian food. Have you tried Napoli? My personal favorite food is their Putanesca - black olives, capers, anchovies, mushroom, olive oil… sarap!!! Toto and I had dinner there last April 17 to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary. Yun lang kinain namin plus lotsa bread.
Hi Tere! Kamusta na? Malaki na siguro si Sam! Happy anniv!
I think that Napoli (this is on Timog right?) and A Veneto (on Visayas Ave.) are one and the same. Would you know? Pareho kasi sign nila eh!
